Swapna Ghanta, MD

Dr. Ghanta is a fellowship trained breast surgeon currently practicing in Stamford, CT. She chose to specialize in breast surgery after several of her friends and colleagues underwent treatment. She is very passionate about health equity and providing cutting edge treatments to all patients. She understands the importance of personalized care to provide the optimal oncologic and cosmetic outcome. Dr. Ghanta treats all breast concerns, from benign to cancer. She also works with individuals at high risk of developing cancer due to strong family histories or genetic mutations. She is committed to providing individualized care to each patient and to minimize the collateral damage from their oncology treatments in order to promote long term health and well being. Dr. Ghanta’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has presented her work at national meetings. She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American College of Surgeons.
