Vitamin D Reduced Rate of Autoimmune Diseases by 22%

New study results showed that vitamin D supplementation with 2000 IU of vitamin D per day for five years reduced autoimmune disease by 22%. Scientists from Brigham and Women’s Hospital found that people who took vitamin D had a significantly lower rate of autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune thyroid disease, and psoriasis, then those who took a placebo.
